From Prayer to Page: A New Orthodox Homeschool Blog
Welcome to the new MBM Press Blog Site! Earlier in 2025, it became clear that there was a growing need for more Orthodox homeschooling resources. Leaning into God’s call, I launched MBM Press with a prayer to help fill that need, providing the Little Arrows liturgical planner, supplemental unit studies, and accessories. And now, I’m feeling called to expand even more. Thus, this blog has begun!
For the moms who are new to the faith and seeking ways to teach their children more about Orthodoxy.
For the moms who want to weave troparia and saint studies into their curriculum work.
For the parents who are praying for trusted Christian resources and honest reviews, this blog is for you.
I am deeply thankful for the MBM Press community that continues to grow so beautifully. This community has welcomed me with open arms from the moment I took that faith-filled, yet terrified, leap into this world of business and education. If you too are in search of a faith-driven, supportive, and creative community on your homeschooling journey, then MBM Press is for you.
Here on the blog, I plan to share honest reviews of books we’re reading, curricula we’ve tested, liturgical and seasonal crafts, deep dives into saint stories, kid-friendly recipes, and so much more. These posts will take our unit and saint studies to another level, offering more support for parents, fresh activity ideas, glimpses into MBM Press resources, and other trusted tools, books, and curricula.
You can expect weekly blog posts on Tuesdays!
In our homeschool, we use a Classical education approach and sprinkle in a bit of Charlotte Mason and unschooling themes. So you’ll find a rich blend of those educational styles here as well. I pray these posts bring values of faith, wonder, literacy, beauty, and rhythm to your home.
To make sure you don’t miss a single post, be sure to subscribe to the MBM Press & Myrrh-Bearing Mother email list by clicking here. Comment below with any questions or thoughts, and never hesitate to reach out to me on social media DMs, either!
I pray this blog will bless you and your homeschool abundantly.
